For this program, I was responsible for pairing all mentor and mentee applicants within the Florida Chapter. I managed all communications to applicants to keep them updated on their status within the program and sent all instructions, guides and materials needed if selected to participate.
I had to verify that all mentor applicants were either Voting or Professional members of the Academy, and all student applicants were GRAMMY U members before pairing. From there, I reviewed all applications thoroughly and paired all applicants to the best of my ability based on their chosen areas of interest.
At the midway point between the turnover from the Fall program to the Spring program, I hosted a virtual orientation to further go through the details of the program and how mentors and mentees can best approach the program to maximize their experience.
GRAMMY U's Mentorship Program pairs members with seasoned music industry professionals and creators which are the Voting and Professional members of the Recording Academy. The program provides members with an opportunity to gain invaluable knowledge from the music community's best of the best.
